Post by deadlocked on Fri Mar 21, 2008 9:11 am

I was just wondering is people thin k she does or doesn't have a versatile voice some said she does some said she doesn't what do you think?
well in my opinion she does beacuse comparing a song like a sequel of decay to equilibrium shows how different she can sound

Right!I think she's very underrated singer. She may not be outstanding classical singer, but she's still incredible. Her voice can be dramatic,heartbreaking,sugarsweet,evil....she is also a great actress.

And the voice is not the only thing that is so outstanding about her.Her stage performances, clothes she's wearing, acting in videos.....she's a true gothic queen.

Vibeke is very versatile voice. It's very unique and it has an excellent rage for any style of music. I wish I attended the school she's teaching at now Laughing

I agree with wildchild, she is a true gothic queen.

Those were the two that sprang to mind. Vibeke has fantastic control over her voice as well...she could probably take over the world with it lol!

From a singer's point of view, I think Vibeke has a very beatiful and unique voice, and she tells the story through the lyrics very well. And she's really good at potraying emotion. Though on some songs she does sound a little too week for them, but that's not really her fault.
And I definatley wouldn't compare her to liv kristine (as my friends keep telling me) scratch

Though I wouldn't say she is that versatile she seems more focused on one area of singing

Neither have I. I mildly understand comparisions to ToT, because it's gothic music but the vocalists are very different.

Poor Liv xD Anyway I think she has got a versatile voice.. But I do prefer when she sings in a classical way.. Or what to say? With lots of high notes and some vibrato xx.

In my opinion she is very versatile. From the swee and delicate vocals from Cure to powerfull ones as Libre there's a difference. She has a very unique voice, classical but at the same time very thin and emotional. She is very gifted in my opinion. Smile

I think she is very versatile. Compare the delicate intro on BTV to the powerful piece in A Sequel Of Decay then compare that to Cure such emotion and depth. She is hugely versatile.

Yep. Of course, she's aeons away from the likes of Floor Jansen when it comes to having a versatile voice, though they're both on the same boat when it comes to being the 'Ideal' soprano. Smile
